Asian Actors Need for Lead Roles in a Short Film (L.A. / Texas)

Need actors for lead roles in an upcoming Short Film. Film will be shot in West Texas in April 2012. It is extremely low budget.Will be great footage for an up and coming actor, or an actor who wants to build their reputation in Los Angeles. Talent does not have to be a professional actor. STORYLINE: A coming of age story between a mother and son in a small Texas town.

TALENT REQUIREMENTS:

[MOTHER] Lead / Female / 35-60 / Asian (CHINESE OR CHINESE-AMERICAN) - Actress should be soulful and genuine, not exaggerated. Stern, Willful, Independent, Authoritative, Realist, seeks the highest quality of life for herself and her son, possibly at the cost of compassion. MUST SPEAK FLUENT MANDARIN (Most of the dialogue will be in Mandarin, with some English). Pay Rate: $125.
[SON] Lead / Male / 18-25 / Asian (CHINESE or CHINESE-AMERICAN) - Actor should be earnest and genuine, not exaggerated. Lonely, Shy, Reticent but Willful, Optimistic, Naive but Charming, dash of Humor, seeks adventure and connection outside his humdrum world. MUST SPEAK CONVERSATIONAL MANDARIN. Majority of the script is in English with some Mandarin. Pay Rate: $250.

We are casting a big budget movie this spring/summer. We need approx 30 males 18-45, and 30 females 18-55
for supporting roles and background work. Filming will take 3-4 months depending on many variables.
We need all races, and both union and non union are encouraged to apply.

Supporting roles will require an audition, and background will not. You must have current photos (professional photos not required)
Supporting roles will pay $220/day and up, background starts at $75/day.
